CHRIST CHURCH CATHEDRAL HERITAGE RESTORATION Vancouver, BC
We provided architectural services for the programming, concept design and first phase of the heritage restoration and partial seismic upgrade of Christ Church Cathedral. Our firm also provided structural consulting services for all three completed phases of the Project. Interior work included the preservation of historic elements and upgrades to acoustical and lighting components, which improve the Cathedral’s capacity to host a myriad of civic, cultural and religious events. This restoration project, which received recognition at the 2017 Vancouver Heritage Awards, has extended the Cathedral’s lifespan for another 100 years and has increased its relevance to the larger community.
