Architectural Technologist (Victoria Office)

We are seeking an experienced mid-career Architectural Technologist to join our collaborative team in Victoria. The ideal candidate will be a registered Architectural Technologist (or nearing registration) with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and will have extensive drawing production experience within Canada.

The Technologist must have the following required skills and expertise:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience with a British Columbia Architectural firm.
  • Must be registered with the AIBC or eligible to register with the AIBC.
  • Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program in a professionally recognized institution.
  • Extensive experience in building technology working independently to prepare design and construction drawings.
  • Experience in a variety of project types, including commercial office/retail, First Nations community buildings, civic and cultural facilities, and or multi-residential.
  • Familiarity with municipal approvals processes.
  • Knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.1.
  • High level of proficiency in Revit, and Photoshop (with a concentration on Revit).
  • Understanding of sustainable design considerations.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with Clients, Consultants, and Municipal Staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in English
