INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER

Iredale Architecture is seeking an experienced Intermediate Interior Designer to join our collaborative team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate is a mid-career interior designer with strong technical, coordination, and design development skills, and experience working within a multidisciplinary architectural practice.
We are looking for a highly motivated, competent, and effective Intermediate Interior Designer to support our Education, Cultural, Facilities, and Residential studios. The successful candidate will work independently under the direction and supervision of Principals and Associates and will be responsible for delivering interior design components from concept through construction.
The position offers $70,000 to $90,000 a year, depending on experience level of the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts and carry projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration
- Prepare detailed interior design drawings, finish schedules, millwork drawings, and interior specifications in accordance with professional standards of practice
- Coordinate interior design scope with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty consultants
- Support residential interior design projects, including multi-unit and custom residential work
- Review shop drawings, samples, and submittals related to interior construction and FF&E
- Participate in site reviews and respond to contractor questions related to interior scope
- Assist with client presentations, design studies, and material and finish selections
- Manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining design quality and technical accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience in interior design with a Canadian interior design or architectural firm
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Registered Interior Designer (RID) or eligibility for registration with IDC, with NCIDQ certification or eligibility considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated experience across a range of project types, including institutional, cultural, educational, commercial, and residential interiors
- Strong understanding of the BC Building Code, accessibility requirements, life safety, and interior construction detailing
- High level of proficiency in Revit for interior design documentation
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles, materials, and finishes
- Familiarity with municipal approval processes and consultant coordination
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

SENIOR MARKETING & PURSUIT MANAGER

We are a mid-sized firm, with approximately 45 staff in Vancouver and 5 in Victoria.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Marketing & Pursuits Manager to co-lead the firm’s proposal development, pursuit strategy, and marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing Director, Principals, and Associates to position the firm for new opportunities and support our long-term growth. This role requires a strong strategic thinker and communicator who can guide complex proposal submissions, develop compelling narratives that communicate our design expertise, and lead pursuit strategies that differentiate the firm in competitive procurement processes. The position also plays a key role in strengthening marketing systems, mentoring team members, and ensuring the consistent quality and professionalism of the firm’s marketing materials and submissions.
The position offers $75,000 to $85,000 a year, depending on experience level of the candidate.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are varied and will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the preparation and submission of complex proposals, qualifications, packages, and award submissions.
- Analyze RFP requirements and evaluation criteria to ensure compliant and competitive submissions.
- Lead pursuit strategy including go/no-go analysis, win theme development, and positioning strategies for major opportunities.
- Coordinate proposal teams including internal staff, Principals, Associates, and subconsultants to deliver high-quality submissions on schedule.
- Author and edit key proposal content including project understanding, methodology, and approach.
- Translate complex architectural and technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for clients and evaluators.
- Edit and refine content from project teams to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with evaluation criteria.
- Develop and coordinate interview strategies and presentation materials for shortlisted pursuits and support interview preparation sessions with project teams.
- Conduct client, market, and competitor research to support pursuit strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Track proposal outcomes and conduct win/loss reviews to inform future marketing and pursuit strategies.
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives that align with the firm’s strategic growth objectives.
- Create and oversee marketing materials including proposals, presentations, brochures, and project narratives.
- Manage and evolve the firm’s digital presence, including website content and social media channels.
- Maintain and update the firm’s CRM database, project portfolio, and marketing resources.
- Develop and refine marketing templates, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Mentor and support junior marketing staff and assist in coordinating marketing workflows and schedules.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure branding consistency across all visual and written materials.
Required Qualifications

- Experience managing digital marketing platforms including website content management systems and social media.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Passion for architecture and design, with an understanding of architectural terminology, procurement processes, and project delivery models considered an asset.
