We provided Architectural services for the rehabilitation and heritage restoration of the historic Burrard Bridge. Heritage elements were preserved and refurbished, consistent with national heritage conservation standards, and decorative pedestrian lighting fixtures and the brazier tower glasswork were recreated. Suicide means prevention strategies were sensitively integrated, and a retrofit for a cycling railing and ramps to support safe and efficient travel for cyclists and pedestrians on the bridge was completed. The project involved extensive consultation with many stakeholders including the City and Heritage Vancouver. Construction was phased so the bridge remained open throughout the project.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
