The West Moberly Health Centre will be the first Passive House (PHIUS) Certified health centre in North America. This will result in a 90% reduction in the building’s annual heating and cooling costs. Designed to reflect the community’s culture and values, the centre will be a focal point in the community and serve as a model for future buildings. This building will also be highly durable as a consequence of the care and detailing that has gone into the envelope design. This characteristic, in combination with the specified durable cladding materials will ensure the client’s desire for minimal maintenance.
