SNAW-NAW-AS SERVICE STATION + MARKET Lantzville, BC

This project comprises a new six-pump gas station, convenience store and Tim Horton’s outlet on a property owned by the Snaw-Naw-As (Nanoose) First Nation. The building includes a sales counter, staff room, washrooms, cold storage refrigeration units and loading area. Heavy timber vestibules provide a unique welcome to customers and a curved green roof mirrors the Nanoose Bay landscape. Sustainable design features include insulated walls and roof, exhaust air condensers, a heat pump HVAC system, motion sensor LED lighting and water saving fixtures. We replanted native conifers and drought resistant native species, and installed a stormwater detention system and permeable pavement.
