The Shackan Child and Family Wellness Centre is a proposed 16,600 SF community hub that brings together health, wellness, cultural, educational, and family support services in a welcoming village-like environment. Developed through extensive community engagement, the design responds to identified needs for accessible local services while strengthening connections to culture, community, and the surrounding landscape. Organized around a central gathering plaza, the centre includes health services, early childhood education, cultural programming, family support spaces, and outdoor gathering areas that foster healing, learning, and belonging.
