RIVERVIEW SENIORS COMMUNITY COMPLEX Lillooet, BC
This project, which involves the redevelopment of an entire property, comprises three new buildings that will serve as the Riverview Seniors Community complex. The complex will consist of 36 assisted living units and 20 independent living units with 15 staff professional support team units. The buildings share a common architectural expression with large roof overhangs and vertical fins that provide passive protection against the harsh sun. Due to the region’s extremely dry conditions, the buildings are finished with non-combustible cladding. The three buildings are meant to compliment one another and form a cohesive community complex with the landscaping elements helping to reinforce the feeling of a resort-style living facility.
