NORTH SAANICH MIDDLE SCHOOL North Saanich, BC
This LEED Gold Certified school provides a flexible and engaging learning environment for students and the local community. The 24-classroom school is equipped with performing and applied arts facilities, science labs, a greenhouse learning centre and a multipurpose fitness complex. Extensive green design principles including geothermal heating and cooling systems, solar collectors, and radiant floor heating were implemented to conserve energy. The project was recognized with a South Vancouver Island Region Green Building Award and a Design Excellence Award from the Victoria Real Estate Board.
