NANAIMO AIRPORT RENOVATION + EXPANSION Nanaimo, BC
This renovation and facility expansion provided the Nanaimo Airport with enhanced airport services and the ability to handle a higher passenger volume. The upgrades involved the expansion of the main terminal, hold room, customs area and baggage handling systems, aircraft parking improvements, vehicle parking lot expansion, and a new maintenance building. The Nanaimo Airport remained operational during the construction phase for this project, which required working around restricted access areas and security lines to ensure safety of staff and passengers.
