MT. ELIZABETH SECONDARY SCHOOL LIBRARY

This project involved converting the existing outdoor courtyard into a new school library, complete with computer labs and study spaces. Our strategy was to minimize disruption of the existing structure by carrying the primary loads of the new structure on a series of new free-standing columns. The study spaces have been located on the mezzanine, giving students a view through the new clerestory glazing to the mountains beyond and enclosing the computer labs below where privacy is required.
