MAYNE ISLAND LIBRARY + BANDSTAND Mayne Island, BC

Mayne Island Library provides a nucleus for the 1000 people living on this coastal Gulf Island. The Library was sighted to capture the beautiful views over Miner’s Bay Park and provide a backdrop for a grassy ampitheatre and bandstand that hosts musical events and community celebrations. Both the library and bandstand were constructed entirely of timber that was cut and milled on the island by local volunteers.
